It's the Final Countdown

With the Spirit Bombs created, and the Gondoliers, The Blue Salamanders and The Lampblacks once again united, is tonight the time to take on the Red Sashes? And if so, what part might The Blue Salamanders have in that final confrontation?

Light My Fire

That was one disturbing vision that Mr H. had of fire pushing Griggs forward and melting a spider hull in the last session. What was that? Is there something else going on behind the scenes?

I'm Still Standing...

Griggs might have been exposed and be being held by the Gondoliers, but he remains a threat...

Of course, there are a number of other parties out there who are interested in you. There's at least one arrest warrant, The Vultures, the Dimmer Sisters and perhaps even The Spirit Wardens who might all have cause to cause you trouble. And regardless of all this, you've still got work to do, contraband to be smuggled, a theatre to run, personal dreams to pursue...

Today the War Ends

After weeks of open warfare between The Lampblacks and The Red Sashes, Baszo Baz? senses time has come for the final push. 'Today,' he declares to you and other allies, 'the war ends. One concerted effort and they're ours. How are you going to help us?' Of course, you know that at some point, the Sashes are going to come knocking at your door about that crate you smuggled in for the Lampblacks...

A Cold Shoulder

The Sashes aren't the only obstruction you're facing right now. Recently fellow river users have ceased to offer you their usual support. Furthermore, as you discovered during Rin's 'title fight' against Marlane?, The Gondoliers have become a little colder towards you than usual, hindering the flow of spectators as you relocated to the Docks. What's that all about, and do you need to take action?

The Show Must Go On

On a more positive front, despite the need to relocate, the opening night of your theatre was a great success! What next? How can it be used not just to entertain, but to further enable your more illicit activities?

Captain Vale, head of The Bluecoats? in Charterhall? sends word. It is time to repay his favour. In light of the ongoing increased tensions and violence in Duskvol, they've secured an increased budget, and are using it to import fresh stock of arms. They have been tipped off, however, that The Red Sashes plan to intercept their shipment to steal the goods for their ongoing war with The Lampblacks. He wants you to help guard the shipment.

The Red Sashes are in trouble. Although both they and The Lampblacks are at stalemate in terms of controlling Crow's Foot, the Lampblack assassin took out a key Iruvian figure in their Academy staff. This assassination, however, may prove to be a bad move; the Iruvian nobility are rallying around the Red Sashes. What is more, the rumour is that The Red Sashes have finally located the source of their recent arcane sickness, and more to the point, how it came to afflict them...

Recently your smuggling operations have run into trouble. You've been successful, but operations involving the canals have been more complicated than they should have been, with other river users not offering you the support they normally would. It's almost as if someone or some faction has been agitating against you. In particular, Crash feels that he is being singled out.

Malista?, a priestess, approaches Mr Hopkins with a potential score. A substance they use in their rituals has been stuck on a vessel at the docks for weeks and the stocks they have are running out. What is the substance? Why are the goods not being released from the vessel? Can the crew retrieve the substance and get it to them.

Marlane?, a rival of Rin's and ferocious pugilist, has challenged Rin to one final showdown to show once and for all, which one of them is the best in Duskvol's fighting pits. Everyone knows that he fights dirty, and that the path to the fight will not be without hazards, of course, that's why they love him! Does Rin accept the challenge, and if so, how can the Salamanders even the odds and give Rin a fighting chance?

A crew member from The Blue Salamanders has just been released from gaol. There were all sorts of stories and rumours doing the rounds when he was imprisoned. Maybe even you don't fully know the truth. But he's out now and back with you. What are the ramifications of his release?...

Crash has heard from Griggs?, a fellow whisperer in the The Gondoliers. Whilst the Gondoliers are pleased that the recent violence caused by a spider-like apparition in the city, especially around the Spark Grounds, seems to have come to an end and they're no longer pulling desecrated hollows from the canals, they're feeling uneasy about the situation. Where has it gone - is it lying in wait somewhere? Or has someone captured it, and if so to what end? They've also heard talk that the Spirit Wardens are also seeking out news and are threatening anyone who may have been involved.

In a quiet moment in the bar, Esme updated you on the ongoing struggle between The Lampblacks and The Red Sashes. Each side continues to seek to seize control of Crow's Foot?. They're at a stalemate; tensions are high. There have been a number of violent skirmishes out in the open and both sides have taken loses. Bazso Baz?, the leader of the Lampblacks, is desperate to win and is pulling in favours and calling on allies. As friends who they've recently assisted, your help is expected. Can you smuggle a weapon to an assassin who they've employed to carry out a hit for them in Red Sashes territory and then get him and the weapon safely out?

Talking of The Red Sashes, Rin?'s friend, the physicker Sawtooth?, was recently treating a member of the Sashes suffering from the sickness that has been blighting. In his delirium, he let slip that they have been fighting two battles, a physical battle against The Lampblacks and an arcane one, a spiritual battle against the evil spirit that has cursed them. They think they know what is causing their sickness, and are confident of dealing with it and those that set it against them soon...

Through his old Bluecoat friends, Roddy? has discovered that The Fog Hounds have managed to find a new Patron. Although the Fog Hounds are also allies of the Lampblacks, they are also rivals with a significant grudge against you. There had been a tentative ceasefire, but this advantage could give them the edge if you don't respond in some way, and fast? But who is it? As yet, it is unclear... Talking of grudges, last score Roddy stirred up forgotten rivalries with Edmund, a decidedly dodgy Bluecoat colleague from the past. This is a loose thread that may also need dealing with at some point, as are The Vultures? another smuggling crew starting out in your patch.
